When God is Silent — Finding spiritual peace amid the storms of life

I have just finished Archbishop Martinez’s, Worshipping a Hidden God and found it to be very insightful and practical. When God is Silent focuses on peace and, in a world that is at times chaotic, unpredictable and stressful, finding peace is a true blessing. Putting this on my future reading list! You can read more on this book review by Mary Hartwell on the Integrated Catholic Life website.

Martinez gives three paths to peace. First, he explains the exclusivity of God’s peace—it belongs to Him alone. “My peace I give to you.” These words are spoken at every Mass. Second, our Lord’s peace is profound. As Martinez writes, “Peace is plentitude; it is life.”  And, third, the peace of God is indestructible.
